Step into the most exciting, laid-back fundraising event of the year—The Garage Gala, hosted by EmergyCare! This isn’t your typical black-tie affair. We’re turning the heat up and trading tuxedos for Hawaiian shirts as we celebrate in the unique atmosphere of EmergyCare’s very own ambulance garage.
This year’s theme is A Tropical Escape—so bring your island vibes and get ready to have a blast! Enjoy delicious bites from local food trucks, sip on refreshing drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and groove to live entertainment all night long. Plus, you can try your luck at raffles and games of chance.
But that’s not all! Every dollar raised will support EmergyCare’s mission is to save lives and positively impact the health, well-being, and safety of the communities we serve across eight counties in Northwest Pennsylvania. You won’t just be having fun—you’ll be making a real difference!

The Corry Artists' Guild Present: "Broadway" Art Show & Sale. It will be held at Corry Higher Ed, 221 N.Center St in Corry, Pa. It begins Friday, May 2nd 6 pm- 9 pm with a "Meet the Artists Reception", featuring a classical musician. We continue Saturday, May 3rd 10 am - 5 pm. Saturday a FREE "Drawing Tips and Tricks" Workshop will be offered! Youth Session: 1pm-2pm, Adult Session: 2pm-3pm. Art pieces will available for purchase. There will also be a "Silent" Art Auction Fundraiser taking place, proceeds will be donated to Art Scholarship Fund. Learn how to use the Idea Lab's laser cutter and engraver, the Glowforge! In this class you will learn how to safely operate the machine, where to find designs and how to use the online Glowforge App. Everyone will also get a chance to make a small keychain to take with them. After taking this class, you are certified to reserve and use the Glowforge independently when the Idea Lab is open. Registration is required. This class requires basic computer skills.

Erie JET-24/FOX 66 Meteorologist Tom Atkins brings the spring SKYWARN training session to Blasco Library. It is a comprehensive presentation developed by the National Weather Service covering regional spring and summer storms--how they develop, form, and threaten lives and property. SKYWARN will examine lightning, hail, tornados, other forms of damaging winds, and flooding. Attendees can train to be a local storm spotter and help the National Weather Service create more accurate warnings for severe weather when it hits our area. This is part two of the program that took place on March 8, 2025.

Learn from scratch or brush up your skills with ECPL's computer classes! Designed to help someone organize their windows computer: saving, using "save as", creating new folders, organizing existing folders, email attachments, flash drives, back up files, among other topics.
Pre-registration for computer classes is required. Each class costs $5.00 and pre-registration must be paid in advance of the class date. The library can only accept cash or check and payment is made at the Information Desk at the Blasco Library. Payment is non-refundable.
These classes are take place in-person at the Blasco Library's second floor Room 219. Please arrived to class on time.

Join the Idea Lab staff to learn how to use the Idea Lab’s Roland Print and Cut Machine. This machine inks onto a vinyl sticker surface and cuts a line to make your design into a sticker! You will learn how to convert files to the proper format and how to add cut lines to your design. After you take this class, you will be certified to use this machine during the Idea Labs open hours.
