WQLN is an approved Educational Improvement Organization. In 2001, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania established the EITC program to allow businesses to support education in Pennsylvania. Qualified businesses can make contributions to an EITC registered organization's educational improvement fund and receive either a 75% or 90% tax credit against its PA taxes that would otherwise be due.

Because of the generous support and strong partnerships of the businesses listed below, we are able to partner with our school districts by delivering the WQLN Families Turn on to Literacy™ program to many K-2 students and their families. This program gives families the tools they need to encourage learning in the home.

Your business is eligible if it is authorized to operate in Pennsylvania and pays one of the following taxes:

Corporate Net Income Tax
Capital Stock Franchise Tax
Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
Insurance Premiums Tax
Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax
Personal Income Tax of Corporation Shareholders or Partnership Partners
