Speed dating and friending is a social activity where participants have short conversations with multiple people in a limited time. It's all about quickly connecting with others through interesting questions and brief chats. We even give you some topics to start the conversation! Light snacks, water, pens, and note pads will be provided by HCR Manor Care.

Join us at Glenwood YMCA for some controlled mingling. If you wish, stick around afterward to hang out with your new friends from 1 to 2 for a light lunch!

Craft a timeless fiber craft with an autumn twist. Our presenter, Karen Smock, will introduce you to needle felting, a technique that transforms wool into a solid piece of fabric art. Using a cookie cutter as your template, you’ll create seasonal leaves and mushrooms that you can decorate by hand.

Free. Registration required. Adults only. The class will take place in the Idea Lab's Community Classroom. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person to help you with this class.

Drop in for a casual game of Magic: The Gathering, the popular tabletop trading card game. Use cards to cast spells, summon creatures, and reduce their opponent's life total to zero. Enjoy a few relaxed games with other players in a friendly, low-pressure setting. Bring your own deck or try one of ours. Don’t know how to play? We can teach you!

The library has 60 card modern decks to borrow during the event.

Learn from scratch or brush up your skills with ECPL's computer classes! Designed to help someone do the basics of word processing with Microsoft Word: learn ribbons, font formatting, margins, tab stops, outlines, borders, headers/footers, among other topics.

Pre-registration for computer classes is required. Each class costs $5.00 and pre-registration must be paid in advance of the class date. The library can only accept cash or check and payment is made at the Information Desk at the Blasco Library. Payment is non-refundable.

Bakd on the Bay is a two-day cannabis and hemp festival taking place September 26–27, 2026, at the Wattsburg Fairgrounds in Wattsburg, Pennsylvania.

The event will bring together consumers, hemp and cannabis businesses, entrepreneurs, industry professionals and members of the regional community for a weekend celebrating the growing hemp and cannabis industry.

Attendees can expect a variety of vendors, educational opportunities, food, entertainment, live music and specialty products, along with opportunities to connect with local and regional businesses.

With an expected attendance of more than 1,000 people, Bakd on the Bay is designed to be a destination event for the Erie region and surrounding communities.

The event is intended for adults and will operate in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania and local laws and regulations. Age requirements and product policies will be clearly communicated to attendees.
