"Sacred Pathways" includes four unique worship opportunities combined with formation or fellowship each Tuesday of the month. Each month, we invite you to connect with a unique and seasonally inspired theme. Through our Art Exhibits, Sacred Experiences, and Community Learning, you’ll have the chance to explore and encounter the Holy in diverse and meaningful ways. We begin with Sacred Conversations & "Sacred Simplicity" on Tuesday, September 9:

Sacred Conversations at 6:00 P.M. led by Gary Loncki. Explore our theme, "Inner Landscapes", featuring the writings of Thomas Merton. This 45-minute group discussion will introduce you to Merton’s writings and set you on a path of exploring more deeply your own inner landscapes.

"Sacred Simplicity" at 7:00 P.M. This service offers meditative prayer, silence, and music. Its most recognizable feature, drawn from the French community of Taizé, is its simple, repetitive chants. These chants are meant to quiet the mind and open the heart to God. Gather with us as we seek peace, unity and the quiet presence of God.

Healthcare is changing with more virtual appointments and communicating with your doctors through online portals.

Professionals from Allegheny Health Network will be on hand to train attendees how to use MyChart and virtual tools to better communicate with their health professionals. Laptops will be provided for in-class use, and attendees will have the ability to book a laptop and a private room for appointments and other health-related visits in the future.

There will be a giveaway drawing, activities for kids, and free diapers while supplies last!

Staff from UCFSC will be there to answer questions about their free parenting programs, as well as the opportunity for free car seats, baby and birthday bundles, and much more. Union City Family Support Center serves all of Erie County.

"Sacred Pathways" Formation & "Walking the Celtic Way" – Tuesday, September 16 at the Cathedral:
6:00 P.M. Engage with a variety of art mediums and creative supplies with intention — each mark, texture, and color a bridge to your inner world. Through hands-on exploration, connect more deeply with your own spirit while making meaningful connections with those.

"Walking the Celtic Way" at 7:00 P.M. Walk the rounds to prayer stations or simply sit immersed in Celtic music, re-centering your soul in the Sacred. Come into the peace and the natural, contemplative rhythm of this ancient form of Christianity.

Sacred Pathways at the Cathedral: Radiant Faith - Tuesday, September 23 at the Cathedral
Gather around our table at 6:00 P.M. with the support of Compton’s Table. This shared meal is more than nourishment—it’s a time of fellowship, connection, and belonging.

Radiant Faith Worship at 7:00 P.M.: A queer-centered gathering of worship, wonder, and welcome. Our gatherings are for spiritual seekers and offer a Christian-rooted encounter with the Divine—one who dwells within us and in the sacred connection we share with one another.

Join us for a fun, interactive self-defense class with local martial artist, Frank DiSalvo! This beginner-friendly session will teach practical techniques to help build confidence, improve awareness, and stay safe in everyday situations. This is a hands-on session for all skill levels. Be sure to dress comfortably. Free for teens ages 13-18. Registration is required.

Sacred Pathways Formation & "Centering Prayer" – Tuesday, September 30 at the Cathedral
At 6:00 P.M. Led by Mary Dwyer, explore the transformative readings and teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating, who helped develop Centering Prayer as a modern method of Christian meditation focused on interior silence and contemplative practice.

At 7:00 P.M. we will pray using Centering Prayer - a Christian meditation practice focused on cultivating deep interior silence and presence. This session welcomes everyone seeking a quiet space for spiritual reflection and stillness.
