Apr 15 Wednesday
Explore stories at the library! Join us for an interactive storytime featuring books, music, movement, puppetry, and more. Have fun while helping your child build early reading skills. Activities are planned with a preschooler's development in mind, but younger and older siblings are always welcome.
Preschool Storytime is best for ages 3-5. A parent or other adult caregiver must be present for the duration of the program. No fee or registration required - join us whenever your family's schedule allows!
Wednesday and Thursday sessions will be different. You are welcome to join us for either or both.

Can’t Decide what to read? Let the cards choose for you!
Welcome to the In the Cards Book Club, where every read is guided by fate. At each meeting, we’ll discuss a book inspired by a card drawn from the deck. One card might challenge you to read a book with a yellow cover, while another could send you searching for the most popular book from the year you were born. Whatever the card reveals: that’s the book! We will all use the same card, but read different books.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month (excluding November and December).
The fate of your next read is all in the cards. Will you draw yours?
Can't make the book club, but still looking for something to read? Listen to the librarian's librarian, Nancy Pearl, and read Book Lust. It gives you a book to read for every mood!
Registration is required.

Have you ever thought about how math is a form of poetry?
It's mathematics awareness and poetry month.
Learn more about this beautiful form of poetry by watching "Proof" from 2005, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Catherine (Gwyneth Paltrow) is a 27-year-old grieving after the loss of her father (Anthony Hopkins), a genius mathematician whose mind gradually deteriorated from mental illness. With her sister, Claire (Hope Davis), urging Catherine to leave their family home, and an ambitious student (Jake Gyllenhaal) searching through her father's notes, Catherine struggles to keep her composure and her sanity in this drama adapted from the stage play by David Auburn.
This movie is rated PG-13 and has some adult scenes. Meant for an 18+ audience.
