The STREAM Team will be presenting an activity from the PBS KIDS show The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!. In this activity, children will predict what will sink or float and test out their predictions in water. Curious children visiting the STREAM Team’s table become a scientist for the day charting their results.
WQLN's STREAM Team is out in the community conducting pop-up outdoor classrooms where children receive 45-minute lessons using the PBS Ready to Learn “Read-View-Do” model of instruction, or pop-in visits distributing resources only. And be sure to keep and eye out for the STREAM Machine, a 24-foot mobile outreach vehicle stocked with PBS KIDS books and activities.
