STREAM Team Explores Fish and Fishing in Lake Erie

Erie is famous for its fishing, and this October, the STREAM Team is bringing that excitement to children with a hands-on lesson about fish and their habitats. Using a fun clip from the popular PBS KIDS Wild Kratts, students will follow Martin as he experiences life as a largemouth bass—turning science into a thrilling adventure!

During the lesson, children will explore the common features of most fish while engaging in interactive activities designed to make learning memorable. Students will also get the chance to discover fascinating facts about the fish that call Lake Erie home, connecting classroom learning to the world around them.

This STREAM Team lesson will blend curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking to give young learners an exciting way to understand the natural world. Parents can feel confident that children are developing knowledge, observation skills, and a love of science while having fun!
