The Grim Readers is a spine-chilling book club just for teens. Join us on the last Monday of every month from 6-7 PM to dive into mysteries, thrillers, horror, and true crime. We will discuss the books, and enjoy crafts or games inspired by the story. We'll also have snacks! At our first meeting on September 9th, 2026 we will vote on what we should read first: Honeysuckle and Bone by Trisha Tobias, The Dark We Know by Wen-Yi Lee or Hatchet Girls by Diana Rodriguez Wallach.

Create a charming lantern that looks almost like stained glass from colored tissue paper. We will have pre-cut stickers from the Idea Lab's Cricut machine to finish off your design. Place a battery-powered votive inside and you're good to go!

Free. Registration required. Ages teen to adult. The class will take place in the Idea Lab's Community Classroom. Children under 15 must be supervised by a guardian. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person to help you with this class.

Step into a world of gods, heroes, monsters, and magic! The Teen The Mythology Guild is the perfect place for mythology enthusiasts to connect, create, and have fun. Each meeting dives into fascinating myths from around the world; Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Japanese, and beyond! All through lively discussions, creative crafts, and epic games.

In this session: we will take a look at gods and goddesses from multiple cultures that represent death. From the Greek god Hades to the Aztec god Mictlantecuhtli, we will take a closer look on how gods/goddess of death are depicted in stories. We will make a split mask inspired by the Norse goddess Hel.

Whether you want to make a gift for someone, make a tote bag that suits your style, deck out your skateboard with vinyl stickers, or anything else you like. Design your creation with the Cricut Design Space and let the Cricut cut it out for you. The library has limited supplies of tote bags/make up bags, and a variety of material for the Cricut to cut. The Friends of the Erie County Library are sponsoring the S-Book-Tacular book sale in the Admiral Room of the Blasco Library from October 15 to October 17. The sale will feature newer mystery fiction, history, art, and children’s books plus puzzles, CDs, and DVDs. The sale go run from 10 AM to 6 PM on Thursday, October 15, from 10 AM to 4 PM on Friday, October 16 and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, October 17.
