North East Community Fair is a long-standing almost 100 year tradition. The many activities and programs have been condensed into a one-day event. Come join us for Agri Fair Day September 5th 10-2 in the gymnasium located behind the Mellon Heritage Outreach Center, 16 West Division Street in North East. Contests will include pumpkin decorating, scarecrow, quilting, chocolate cake, floral arrangements and Lego building. There will be displays, crafts and fun activities for the family, vendors, including an observation beehive. For more information or to enter a contest, call Clover 814-460-8124.
The goal is to read 1,000 books to your child before kindergarten. It’s simple! Have you read the same book a dozen times? You can count it as 12 books! Have you attended library storytime? You can count each book read! If you read just one book a night you will have read 365 books in a year!
Any child from birth until they enter kindergarten can participate. You can pace yourself and be done in just a few months or take a few years.
Come to the library to kick-off your reading adventure and receive reading tips, reading journal, and special reading stickers.
Free. No registration required.
This program is intended for families and children between the ages of 0-5 who have not yet entered kindergarten.

Meet other Pokémon trainers at the Erie County Public Library's Pokémon Club! Come play games, trade cards, and make friends. If you don't know how to play, we will teach you! Trading Card Game, Nintendo Switch/DS, and Pokémon GO players are all welcome.
