Hey, Fiber Fans!
Come join us for Library Loops, a monthly book club where we try out books about knitting, crocheting, and fiber crafting. This time, our focus will be on crochet, but you can bring any project you like and craft with us! At the end we’ll talk about whether we liked the books we reviewed, if it was easy to follow, and everyone can check some books out to take home with them.

In a small town in Pennsylvania, Noah writes letters to Mothman in hopes of proving his existence, and as a way to remember his friend Lewis. This book deals with grief over the loss of a friend, gender identity, and other tough topics. We will meet to discuss Dear Mothman by Robin Gow. We will have book discussion, snacks, and activities.
Participants will receive a free copy of the book to read and keep. Parents, please ensure the content of this story is a good fit for your reader before signing up! Visit our online event page or ask a librarian for more information.
This book club is meant for children grades 5-8 or ages 10-14, depending on their reading level.

The Meadville Public Library will conduct its annual Spring used book sale Thursday, April 30th, from noon to 6:30 pm, Friday, May 1st from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday, May 2nd from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The sale will be held on the top floor of the Meadville Public Library at 848 N. Main St., Meadville, PA 16335. The accessibility entrance is located on the right (north) side of the building, leading into the Children's Room, where the elevator will take customers to the top floor and the book sale room.
This sale includes general fiction and non-fiction books, books on CD, Young Adult fiction and non-fiction, and children’s non-fiction and picture books. Customers are asked to bring their own shopping bags. Proceeds from the sale support our Summer Reading Program.

National Opal’s Walk for Freedom is a nationally coordinated event honoring the legacy of Dr. Opal Lee and celebrating Juneteenth as a reminder that freedom is an ongoing journey.
