On Thursday April 11 at 7PM, Penn State Behrend will host bestselling author Tiffany D. Jackson. This event is free and open to the public; the location is Reed Auditorium (Reed Building).
Tiffany D. Jackson is the New York Times-bestselling and award-winning author of YA novels including Monday’s Not Coming, Allegedly, Let Me Hear A Rhyme, Grown, White Smoke, Santa in The City, The Weight of Blood, and Blackout (co-author). A Coretta Scott King — John Steptoe New Talent Award winner and an NAACP Image Award nominee, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in film from Howard University, and has over a decade of experience in the television industry, working for various networks and media companies including National Geographic, Roc Nation, BET, FUSE, and BBC AMERICA.
Her talk will address her career, creative process, and writing in a time when what teenagers read is increasingly under scrutiny.
