Promised Land

Season 23 Episode 4 | 53m 15s

Though apartheid ended in South Africa in 1994, economic injustices remain unresolved. Yoruba Richen's film reveals that the most potentially explosive issue is land. The film follows black communities as they attempt to reclaim land from white owners, some of whom who have lived there for generations. "Promised Land" captures multiple perspectives, each struggling to find just solutions.
