WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On August 4th of that year, US Secret Service agents arrested Sister Janet Goetz and Kathleen Walter, both from Erie, for praying to end the Vietnam War at the East entrance of the White House.

This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, nominated for seven Emmy awards, and available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app Passport.
