WINTER WONDERLAND FOR THE COMMUNITY
(Erie, PA) Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center is hosting a Winter Wonderland of holiday activity for the community. Children and adults are invited to pick up a map of the festivities at the Receptionist Desk by the Reed Street entrance, grab a Reindeer Refreshment and then head to the fun. Enjoy a stroll through the Center with holiday station stops along the way. Visit Santa’s Workshop of local arts and craft vendors to get your holiday shopping started. Complimentary gift wrapping will be provided by local youth volunteers. Swing into the Gingerbread House cookie decorating station to make your own dessert or the Holiday Sweaters and Sweets station to enjoy some warm pie. Be sure the kids visit the Candyland Extravaganza to fill up a bag of goodies and stop in to see Mr. & Mrs. Claus for a visit and fun activity.
For those residents who call Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center home, celebrating a culture of food, family and friendship is even more important during the holidays. Children’s participation in intergenerational traditions and meaningful relationships help to decrease social isolation and increase a sense of belonging, self-esteem, and well-being. This event is an opportunity to welcome the community into the Center and to encourage friends and family to treasure their time together.
Winter Wonderland will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 12:30 PM-3:30 PM. The event is open to the public, but an RSVP to (814) 459-0621is appreciated. Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center is looking forward to celebrating this holiday season with residents, staff, family, friends and neighbors. We ask that you regularly use hand sanitizer while in the center and let us know if you aren’t feeling well, have been exposed or tested positive for COVID. We are seeking donations of candy and white, outdoor holiday lights to help create the magic!
