On Saturday, September 19th, the Foundation for Sustainable Forests will host a forestry walk at our newly conserved Robert Crawford Memorial Forest near Edinboro in Erie County, PA. Forester Guy Dunkle will lead us through a recent timber harvest, providing information about tree selection, forest pests, and forest changes over time. We’ll also discuss the relationship between historical land use / past timber harvests and the conditions we see today.

The walk will include uneven terrain and mud; please dress accordingly. Bring a water bottle if you can, but water bottles and snacks will be provided, too.
