State Dept. official on Trump's nuclear arms control vision

Season 2020 Episode 75 | 8m 15s

Signed in 2010 by former President Obama and then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) is meant to verify nuclear arms reduction levels for the United States and Russia. It will expire in less than a year, and so far, there is no other agreement to replace it. Nick Schifrin talks to Chris Ford, who leads the State Department's arms control bureau.
