After a helicopter crash in Afghanistan claimed her left leg and ended her military career, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Kirstie Ennis had to find a new purpose. Her inspiring journey has led her around the world as she honors and remembers America’s fallen heroes and reaches out to those struggling with the wounds of war.

Funding is provided by Lockheed Martin, the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans the National Park Service, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Department of the Army, General Dynamics, 84 Lumber and American Airlines.
