Not My Kid | Hiding in Plain Sight

1m 06s

“I always felt like I needed to hide something.. I had so much that I was hiding from everybody,” Lydia says of the constant fear of having her drug use discovered – and how punishments like getting grounded or having her phone taken away had little effect. “Nothing was enough to stop me from taking what I wanted.”

The Well Beings Youth Mental Health Project, which includes HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: YOUTH MENTAL ILLNESS, is made possible by Otsuka, Kaiser Permanente, Bank of America, Liberty Mutual Insurance, American Psychiatric Association Foundation, One Mind, Movember, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Dana Foundation, Dauten Family Foundation, The Hersh Foundation, Mental Health Services Oversight & Accountability Commission, John & Frances Von Schlegell, Sutter Health, Robina Riccitiello, and Jackson Family Enterprises.
