Refugee Stories in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, Texas is home to refugees from around the world, including Muslims from Burma, Ethiopia, Kuwait, Egypt, and many other places. More recently, the city is welcoming refugees from Afghanistan. Many come to Amarillo for work in the meat-packing industry and begin the immigrant story of blue-collar labor to lift their children.
