Mickela heads to the “cradle of flamenco” in Utrera, Spain to experience the Potaje Gitano Festival, a celebration of flamenco through Gypsy heritage. She connects with the families at a local peña, meeting with six-year-old flamenco dancer, Carmen; she sits with singer Tomas De Perrate to understand the emotion behind flamenco music; and she becomes an honorary member of Utrera’s Bell Ringers.
