WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On September 29th of that year, the Greater Erie Community Action Committee’s Executive Director, Benjamin Wiley was arrested for indecent exposure for changing his shirt in the parking lot of the Cleveland Clinic. Wiley was visiting his daughter, who was a patient at the clinic.

This Day in History is presented by the Emmy-nominated history series Chronicles. The new season begins next month and is available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app - Passport.
