WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On September 25th of that year, Erie County received a check for almost 60,000 dollars from Washington County Commissioners to pay for the William Prater trial. Prater was tried in Erie County Court and found guilty of planning the Joseph Yablonski murders.

This Day in History is presented by the Emmy-nominated history series Chronicles. The new season begins next month and is available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app - Passport.
