WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On August 20th of that year, Erie City Councilman and Little Toot owner and operator Tony Rugare was arrested after he and Grant Nolan got into a fistfight on the Public Dock over where sightseeing boats could sell tickets.
This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, nominated for seven Emmy awards, and available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app Passport.
