WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On May 24th of that year, State Representative Robert Bellomini was publicly reprimanded for interfering with a PLCB investigation between the Cosa Nostra crime family boss, James “Westfield Jimmy” Salamone, and Erie’s Pick Wick Club.
