WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On May 22nd of that year, Erie County Coroner Merle Wood transported a skull, three ribs, and several vertebrae to Pittsburgh for identification. The skull had two suspicious holes indicating a possible crime. The remains were found in Misery Bay.
