WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On May 9th of that year, Erie City Council reviewed plans for Erie’s Bayfront Development. The centerpiece of the project was a Bayfront Parkway built near the water. It would take another 22 years before the parkway was complete.
This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, showing Houses of Faith Beyond the Brickwork Part Two this Thursday night on WQLN PBS.
