WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On May 7th of that year, seventy people auditioned to host a new sub-channel program on WQLN Radio called “The Talking Library.” Volunteer hosts read newspapers, magazines, and books for the visually impaired.
This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, showing Houses of Faith Beyond the Brickwork Part Two this Thursday night on WQLN PBS.
