WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On December 17th of that year, police arrested the store managers of Waterford’s Super Duper, both Erie K-Marts, WT Grants, Millers, and Super Saver, for opening for business on a Sunday.
This Day in History is presented by WQLN’s Emmy-nominated weekly history series Chronicles. Available on WQLN PBS and on our TV app - Passport.
