WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On December 7th of that year, Al Ferraro, representing the Ford Motor Company, presented the Erie School District with a 25-piece art collection. The collection, by national artists, was displayed at the Erie Public Art Museum before a permanent location was selected in the Erie School District Administration Building.
This Day in History is presented by WQLN’s Emmy-nominated weekly history series Chronicles. Available on WQLN PBS and on our TV app - Passport.
