The Lion King musical follows the epic journey of Simba, a young lion cub destined to rule the Pride Lands. Simba’s evil uncle Scar has other plans, and orchestrates the killing of Mufasa, Simba’s father, and convinces Simba to flee rather than face blame for his death. As the years pass, Simba, along with his friends Timon and Pumbaa, live in the jungle and forget about their past, until Nala, Simba’s friend, arrives and tells him Scar is abusing animals in the kingdom. Simba, on the advice of his good friend, Rafiki, returns to the Pride Lands to confront Scar and take his rightful place as king. Songs for The Lion King were written by Elton John and Tim Rice and provide a beautiful backdrop for this delightful show!
