Special Guest: A Map of Everything
What is ATOTAL?
An immersive audiovisual performance where sound sculpts light, and light refuses to simply follow. The evening begins in perfect lockstep — pulse and flash moving as one — then slides, slowly and deliberately, into misalignment you can feel in your ribs and behind your eyes. The moment the “lock” slips is the point. You don’t just watch this. You participate, because your senses keep trying to re-align what will not re-align.
Why this matters in Erie
Work like this usually lives on global festival circuits. FEED brings it to a small, tuned black-box where subtle drift reads clearly and silence holds weight. Presence, not hype. Conversation that spills onto State Street after the blackout. Erie becomes the portal, not the detour.
The artists
Franck Vigroux builds pressure and texture you feel as physics: plateaus that bloom, abrupt cuts, charged quiet.
(Visual artist, credited in materials) composes behavior in light: pixels and vectors with agency, latency, friction, and memory. The visuals respond, refuse, lead, and lag — never mere decoration.
Together they stage a dialogue where neither medium “wins.” You feel the argument, and that’s the art.
What you’ll experience
Early minutes of hyper-synchrony that train your trust.
A creeping “near-miss” — flashes landing a hair late, or surging ahead.
A final residue where small flickers and soft tones carry more meaning than the earlier blast.
A room held in true dark and real headroom, so every micro-shift lands.
