And Sherlock star Toby Jones’s grandmother, also an actor, travelled into war zones to entertain and uplift the troops.

Iconic America Premiere | April 26 at 10pm

Iconic America: Our Symbols and Stories with David Rubenstein is a new eight-episode series premiering this month on WQLN PBS. This series explores American history through an examination of iconic symbols like The Hollywood Sign and Gadsden Flag – and kicks off with Fenway Park. Rubenstein invites local experts and community members to examine how Americans engage with each of these icons, offering viewers a new perspective on how we tell – and retell – our American story.

Funding for Iconic America: Our Symbols and Stories with David Rubenstein is provided by The Zohar Ben-Dov Family through the Luminescence Foundation.
