Exhibit chronicles rich history of independent Black cinema

Season 2024 Episode 52 | 6m 43s

Film buffs will frequently cite "Citizen Kane" or "Gone with the Wind" as early classics. But a new exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts seeks to showcase lesser-known Black filmmakers and actors who have a rich history of their own. Jeffrey Brown has the story for our arts and culture series, "CANVAS."
