A Public Defender for Jan. 6th Rioters Reacts to Trump’s Sweeping Pardons

On day one of his second term President Trump issued pardons for 1,000 insurrectionists who were arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced in U.S. courts for their actions on that day four years ago. Heather Shaner is a longtime public defender who has represented dozens of these individuals. She joins the show to tell us what she's learned from her work.
