WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On August 13th of that year, Dick and Edith Love of Love Road in Millcreek township were declared missing during severe flooding in India. The Loves were found safe and sound a few days later. They were in the Indian province of Punjab, volunteering for the United Presbyterian Church.

This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, nominated for seven Emmy awards, and available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app Passport.
