WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On July 18th of that year, the Cinamette Corporation of Pittsburgh purchased Erie’s Warner and Stand Theatres. The manager of Dipson’s Plaza Cinema, J Armbruster was hired to run both theaters.
This Day in History is presented by Chronicles, nominated for seven Emmy awards, and available online at WQLN.org and on the PBS app Passport.
