WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973, and on March 24th of that year – All plans for an interstate interchange at West 38th Street were tabled - after a heated meeting between PennDOT engineer Al Osborne and Millcreek Supervisors, Erie County Council, Erie Earth Watch, and the Brentwood Hills Homeowners Association.
