WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973, and on March 5th of that year – The Erie County Bicycle Commission released a progress report on the creation of a bikeway from Erie’s Eastside to Presque Isle State Park. Erie City Government was 100% behind the plan, but Millcreek Township continued its objection to having anything to do with the project.
