WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973, and on February 7th of that year – former Erie Mayor, Arthur Gardner representing The Erie Chamber of Commerce, held a news conference to request $10,500 from Erie City government to fund a feasibility study to determine the best use for Erie’s abandoned Union Station.
