WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973, and on February 27th of that year – In an interview with Ed Wellejus, Pat Cappabianca said he intended to run in the mayoral Democratic primary against incumbent Mayor Louis Tullio. Cappabianca said he would campaign on restoring fiscal responsibility to the Mayor’s office.
