WQLN Road Trips is excited to offer this new adventure! We will first make our way to Latrobe where we will visit the Fred Roger’s Exhibit which is located at the Fred Rogers Institute at St Vincent College. The Exhibit is a wonderful display of Fred’s life and work, and you just may see a few familiar puppets and sweaters. The Neighborhood Trolley, Daniel Striped Tiger, X the Owl, and many other beloved television characters and storied images make their home at the Fred Rogers Exhibit.
After this self guided tour we will enjoy a boxed lunch from Honey Baked Ham as we make our way to downtown Pittsburgh to the Heinz History Center where you will have two hours to explore, but you’ll want to be sure to visit Mister Roger’s Neighborhood. Every day is a beautiful day in the neighborhood at the History Center’s Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood exhibition. Travel to the “Neighborhood of Make Believe” to see iconic artifacts up-close from the beloved children’s television show that was filmed right here in Pittsburgh. We will then spend an additional two hours at Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. To end our day we will enjoy a delicious dinner at Buca di Beppo in Station Square!
