WQLN NPR first signed on the air in 1973. On December 16th of that year, the Swedish Ship, Theoris unloaded 3,000 tons of steel at Port Erie. This delivery set an annual record of 79,339 tons of cargo delivered to the Erie International Marine Terminal.
