WQLN‘s New STREAM Machine Hits the Road

Iroquois_Library_1.jpg

The educational outreach team packed up the WQLN PBS KIDS resources and hit the road, making a stop at Iroquois Branch Library in our new STREAM Machine! The STREAM Machine is a mobile outreach vehicle stocked with STREAM kits and PBS KIDS books to engage students and families with hands-on lessons in science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math. We are putting our mission in motion to help get kids excited and ready to learn.

WQLN recognizes that children can learn anywhere, so we’re hitting the road to bring learning to life in YOUR neighborhood. We are putting our mission in motion with a mobile classroom called the WQLN PBS STREAM Machine. You might be curious where we came up with that name. Well, STREAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This vehicle will deliver hands-on lessons in all those subject areas to help get kids excited and ready to learn.

The STREAM Machine is stocked with STREAM kits and PBS KIDS books, donated by Hooked on Books for Kids, to engage students and families.

This new program is sponsored by Rebich Investments and Erie Community Foundation.
