Corporate Support Account Executive

WQLN PBS NPR is seeking a motivated and goal-oriented individual to join our Corporate Support Team. The candidate will be responsible for the sale of broadcast television and radio sponsorships as well as event sponsorships. The position will include an active account list but will also have a significant focus on developing new business by cold calling and following a consultative sales approach. Professional prospecting, presentation, organization, and communication skills are essential. At least 2 years experience in broadcasting sales or non-profit fundraising is strongly preferred. The best candidates will possess:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with an understanding of B2B sales techniques.
  • Strong time management and prospect management skills.

WQLN Education Outreach Assistant

The Educational Outreach Assistant is responsible for sharing PBS Kids content and resources with parents, educators, and early learning community organizations among diverse groups and multi-cultural environments by organizing and delivering family learning activities, workshops, camps and other outreach programs to improve student outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, promote all educational outreach initiatives to include literacy workshops and events
  • Order, maintain, and prepare all program and event materials
  • Primary point of contact for all WQLN facilitators
  • Primary point of contact for department email and phone calls
  • Track evaluation forms for all programming
  • Ensure education web page is current and updated
  • Manage all education programs forms and documentation
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of education database
  • Maintain public awareness of WQLN’s educational outreach initiatives through mailings, writing articles, using Constant Contacts and on-air spots
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Education or equivalent combination of education and experience serving children, families and educators
  • Pennsylvania State Clearances including PA Child Abuse History Clearances and PSP Criminal Record Check
  • Experience working with pre-school children and their families
  • Experience in training others, presenting to a group and effective public speaking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective working independently or in a team environment
  • Self-starter and strong organizational skills
  • Experience working well with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Above average experience using computers, Microsoft Office, and Internet
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, create and manage multiple projects and events
  • Excellent project planning skills with close attention to details and timelines

Another way to lend a helping hand is to volunteer during our Holiday Craft Show, concerts, Kids Club events, or other special events. There's always a need for our community's support.
