Enjoy the history and mystery of the newest castle now open to the public—Singer Castle on Dark Island, located 9 miles downriver at Chippewa Bay. Built at the turn of the 19th century by Commodore Bourne (president of the Singer Sewing Machine Company) as a ‘hunting lodge,’ the castle remains just as it was during its heyday—fully furnished with antiques, coats-of-arms, original paintings, and more. Enjoy a boxed lunch on the boat ride back to Alexandria Bay. Next, board the boat for the Two Nation Tour. This international tour offers close-up enjoyment of historic and scenic wonders in both the American and Canadian sections of the 1,000 Islands.
