Release for Pennsylvania Breweries:

From William Penn to Penn Pilsner – the craft of brewing began and flourishes in Pennsylvania. Travel from Philly to Erie - Wilkes-Barre to Pittsburgh – and you’ll discover America’s favorite brewery tour.

Pennsylvania Breweries is a 60-minute video tour of some of the state's most famous and unique breweries, microbreweries and brewpubs. WXXX_TV (name of station) viewers will travel across the commonwealth and get a unique, behind-the-scenes tour of 15 of Pennsylvania’s nearly 70 working beer producers.

Pennsylvania Breweries will expand the beer drinker's palate and understanding as to how some of the finest beer in NAME OF BROADCAST COMMUNITY and across the country is made.

The brewing industry in Pennsylvania has grown by 400% in the last 6 years. Testament to this growth is the dedication mustered by Pennsylvania's regional brewers, who’ve survived the dark days of prohibition; corporate buyouts, wranglings and leveraged takeovers of the 1980s, and 1990s. Stout or lager, ale or porter Pennsylvania has reinvented individual niche markets where regionals and micros thrive.

Breweries featured in the program are: D. G. Yuengling & Son, Pottsville, PA; Straub Brewery, St. Marys, PA; Pittsburgh Brewing Company, Pittsburgh, PA; Jones Brewing Company, Smithton, PA; Latrobe Brewing Company, Latrobe, PA; The Lion Brewery, Wilkes-Barre, PA; Dock Street, Philadelphia, PA; Yards Brewing Company, Philadelphia, PA; Victory Brewing Company, Dowingtown, PA; Bethlehem Brew Works, Bethlehem, PA; Weyerbacher Brewing Company, Easton, PA; Appalachian Brewing Company, Harrisburg, PA; Selin's Grove Brewing Company, Selinsgrove, PA; Pennsylvania Brewing Company, Pittsburgh, PA; Erie Brewing Company, Erie, PA

Major funding for Pennsylvania Breweries was provided by the Pennsylvania Public Television Network. For more information contact WQLN TV-54 at (814) 864-3001.

Pennsylvania Breweries airs on WXXX-TV 00 DAY OF WEEK at 00:00pm
