Gears to Beers Bike Tour of Erie County
April 24
Media Content
The Gears to Beers Bicycle Tour is a new event for the Erie Micro Brew Festival. The Tour begins in Summit Township at WQLN and follows a route over Oliver Road, through Edinboro, and into Venango, home of Sprague's Farm and Brew Works. JET-TV's Cassandra Garrison will lead the tour. Thanks to Competitive Gear and Sprague's Farm and Brew Works, pre-registered riders will receive a commemorative tee shirt, a healthy sampling of Sprague Beer, and the warm feeling that comes from supporting Public Broadcasting.

4th Annual WQLN & Books for Kids Corporate Spelling BEE
Media Content
Loads of laughter, outlandish costumes, and enthusiastic teams of adult spellers bring a large crowd to Junior's Last Laugh and Comedy Club each year during the WQLN and Books for Kids Corporate Spelling Bee. All proceeds from the event help Books for Kids and WQLN Education provide books for children who may not otherwise have them. Spread the W-O-R-D! The 4th Annual Corporate Spelling Bee will take place March 30th at Junior's Last Laugh Comedy Club. There will be loads of laughter as we watch our local business folks attempt to spell words from the children's National Spelling word list! Teams will compete for the trophy and, of course, the awards for most spirit and best costumes. If you would like to sponsor a team, please contact Traci at tteudhope@wqln.org or 814-217-6020.
