Lush Life is a Jazz experience with an emphasis on a mellow mood. One will find a little "Second Baptist Sound" in the Jazz on Lush Life. Most of the Jazz is in the form of the cultural roots of the music, that being R&B, The Blues and the muscial spirit of the Gospel. The sound of the Hammond B3 can be heard over the course of any given show. There is always something old, something new, and something very blusey. Art Blakley the great Jazz drummer said "Music washes away the daily dust of life".
